2008-2009 Try-its, Pins & Patches

Here is a summary of the activities we complete that will help us earn our awards and recognitions.

Brownie Quests (The Three Keys)
First Key:
activity 1 - 9/29; we completed the "discovering me star"
activity 2 - 10/6; we completed the "discovering values" activity
activity 3 - 9/2; we turned in our family activity and received our first key patch

Penny Power
activity 1 -3/30; presented and planned trip ideas for spending our cookie money, talked about the costs that need to be considered in planning a troop event




Girl Scout Ways
activity 1 - 10/6; the GS law scavenger hunt activity and the completion of the second key activity
activity 2 - 9/29 & 10/6






Her Story
activity 1 - 10/6 & 10/13; learn about Juliette Low and celebrate her birthday


Art to Wear
activity 1 - 9/29; we made troop t-shirts







Caring and Sharing
activity 1 - 10/6; completion of the "discovering me" star/ first secret sister activity
activity 2 - 10/6 & 10/13; completion of the second "my favorites" secret sister activity

activity 3 - Miriam earned this by completing the haiku activity in the trail of the ELF section of the Brownie Quest book

Earned at PowWow in the Pines at Camp Robinwood 11/8
(Miriam, Sarah, Nicole, Vauna, Rainy, Caroline, Madison, Jenae, Xavjah)







We are earning this patch over several meetings. Three Mexican craft meetings, book discussion meeting, and the parade.







We earned our African American Heritage patch 9/6/2009 at a meeting at the Gallery Downtown -we visit with Mr. Richard Orton (photographer) and Mr. Marion Upshaw about the photo exhibit the Upshaws of County Line.
