We had a couple of big treats tonight! First we welcomed Carleigh to our troop :)She learned the Girl Scout sign and promise and got to do a really exciting art project with us.
Last summer, Ms, Alisa went to Mexico on a TIDES teacher expedition to learn about Mexican folk art. She is teaching art at TJR and we are lucky enough to get to learn about and experiment with some of the folk art she saw.
Tonight we completed a bark painting project. Ms. Alisa took a bark painting lesson at a language school (the Instituto de Idioma y Cultura) in Cuernavaca. Here are pictures from our art project:)
