More picture to come...

Bark Painting

We had a couple of big treats tonight! First we welcomed Carleigh to our troop :)

She learned the Girl Scout sign and promise and got to do a really exciting art project with us.

Last summer, Ms, Alisa went to Mexico on a TIDES teacher expedition to learn about Mexican folk art. She is teaching art at TJR and we are lucky enough to get to learn about and experiment with some of the folk art she saw.
Tonight we completed a bark painting project. Ms. Alisa took a bark painting lesson at a language school (the Instituto de Idioma y Cultura) in Cuernavaca. Here are pictures from our art project:)

Make It Eat It

Five of us spent last Saturday earning our Make It Eat It Try-it.
The menu: Taco Pie, Nachos, and Chocolate Fudge Brownies.

First things first...the grocery store. We bought everything we needed and even remembered to use canvas bags :)

The best thing? Making chocolate fudge brownies of course!

We cleaned up like true Brownies :)
Those of you who couldn't make it, try cooking at home and share your recipes with the troop!
