Celebrations!

Happy New Year Miriam & Vauna!

Miriam & Vauna began working on their Lehavah Jewish Religious recognition and their Jewish American Heritage Patch today. What better way to start than with preparing for the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah).

There is a Girl Scout religious recognition program for most faiths. You can learn more here...

GS Rally

It was great to see everyone at Rally! We learned that we get to welcome three new girls to our troop: Jenae, Baylee and Xavjah :)

We had fun learning all about Girl Scout Traditions. According to Miriam: "my favorite part of rally was the hike...we saw spider webs, a river and trees!"

For those of you who are new to the troop you earned the Girl Scout Ways try-it. Those of you who bridged to Brownies with us earned this at our campout last May. There is also a fun patch
that our Service Unity chose for Rally participation.
You can see more rally pictures here.

Remember, our parents' meeting is Monday night at 6:30.
See you then!

September

Ready, set, go...

Our Girl Scout year began informally at Miriam's sixth b-day. A visit from the ice cream truck ('Lil Tex), cupcakes and bubbles seemed like a good start to the year.

We will gather again for the GS Rally on the 8th and for our Parents' meeting on the 10th.

Our theme for the year is "Girl Scouts Make the World a Better Place". We are going to achieve this by making our whole troop "greener". This will be a great way to incorporate service into all our activities, help our community and our planet.
