Chrissa and Friends

Tonight's party with Troop 9052 was our final Chrissa book club activity.
We closed our book club in style with discussion, crafts, and an encore viewing of the movie.
The dress code for the evening -solidarity scarves and friendship bracelets.

We spent a fun filled Saturday morning earning three friendship themed try-its -thanks moms for all of your help.

With girls moving to new cities and new troops, we dedicated many of our activities to recording special memories of good times and good friends.

Second Key

Last Monday night we completed all but our last second key activity :)
The only thing left to do is to bring a community service project idea written down to tonight's sleepover.

Here is the recap:
Activity 1 - Brownie Team Agreement
Activity 2 - Family fun envelopes & sharing with the troop one of the fun/healthy activities we did with our families
Activity 3 - Talked about "connections" and our circle map &
TO FINISH: share a community service idea with the troop

We will have our key ceremony while at camp Whispering Pines this weekend. You must have attended all the key quest meetings or turned in missing activities to receive your try-it Saturday.

Still Questing

Tonight we followed our Brownie Quest map toward the second key "Connect".
We completed the first step and created a Brownie team agreement.

We promise to act like a team-
to listen
and to help each other.
We all think these things are important.

And our team thinks it's important to:
Be responsible for my part in team plans and activities;
Be respectful -listen to others, respect other people's things, not be mean to others;
Not be bossy - be polite;
Show up on time;
Not whine.

We read what's Happening at Campbell's house (pg. 54) and talked about things that could be changed to make Campbell's home safer, healthier and happier.

We completed the first half of our second step by talking about ways our families might live healthier lives. We made family fun envelopes. The girls are going to fill them with fun/ healthy ideas of activities you can do as a family. You will need to try one of these activities out so your daughter/s can report back to the troop next week.

I don't know what went on in your house last night, but Miriam hammered out about 15 activities we will be doing as a family. Looks like we may have a busy week -maybe I can convince her that napping is healthy :)
